Country and Western Party

My friend Jean has started doing theme evenings called "Get2gethers" on the 2nd May she had a COUNTRY & WESTERN EVENING.

I had been in bed with flu for a few days and really did not feel up to this kind of function. BUT because I am a person of my word Mike myself and our friend Gordon dressed up and went along. Well knowing Jean like I know Jean I knew she would put on a good spread. I think all in all there were about 60 people. She hired the band "Joyride" and beside their excellent music we were taught how to linedance by very capable Cheryl McDougall. Thanks Cheryl you were great!
Well all I can say is WOW what a great evening Jean, we cannot wait for your next one which a little birdie tells me is an Arabian evening where we will learn how to belly dance!!!! Now that should be a laugh. Watch my blog for photos I will post after the event.

Rachel Cox

I had these beautiful photos of Rachel we took on the beach in Australia. I wanted to do something different with them so I used Photoshop CS3 clipping masks her name and some embelishments and this was the result. I thought it looked lovely, what do you think?

Day at the Spa

The best birthday gift ever!! A day at Mangwanani Spa

I arrived at 8.00am for a really healthy breakfast, after this we were taken to the luxurious change rooms and kitted out in lush toweling gowns and slippers.

We were then taken to the first of our 7 treatments, which was a traditional African Hand Cleansing ritual with organge blossom scrub washed off with warm rose petal wash. The other treatments I received were, a relaxation facial, and full body salt exfoliation, wow that was something else. This was followed by a lovely lunch, champagne and orange juice and a decadent dessert!!

After this all you actually want to do is sleep so a full body stress relief massage with hot stones, a head and neck massage, an hour in the jucuzzi was just what I could handle, I ended this beautiful day with a African foot cleansing ritual. I was Queen for the day and felt sparkling, tingling and new!!! To anyone out there who wants to really really spoil themselves or a loved one I can really recommend a day like this.
